December 2020 The Show sponsors a tree at the St. Mary's Christmas Tree Festival.

The committee thanks those members who came up with the ideas and braved the weather to decorate the tree outdoors. A photo of the Christmas Tree can be found in the "Trees" gallery page.

Late September 2020The committee has reviewed the COVID-19 situation and decided to hold the 2020 AGM as a virtual on-line meeting. Please see the AGM page for details.

September 2020 Many thanks to everyone who entered our 2020 on-line virtual competition which replaced our traditional annual Village Show and congratulations to the winners. The winning entries can be seen on the home page, more detailed results including first, second and third placings can be found on the 2020 results page. All entries can be seen on the 2020 Gallery page where you can also see photos from previous years' Shows and events.

June 2020 The 2020 Show has been cancelled and will be a replaced by an on-line virtual competition.

After fully reviewing the COVID-19 situation and the continued need for social distancing, it is with regret that the committee has taken the decision to cancel the 2020 Show and replace it by an on-line "virtual" competition.

April 2020 The 2020 Show Schedule is now available.

The 2020 Show Schedule is now available on-line. In these uncertain times, the committee is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will make further updates if they become necessary. We will consider publishing a number of hard copy schedules later in the summer. In the meantime, thank you for your interest and support. Please continue to monitor the web site for any updates and above all Stay Safe.

Here are few highlights of the changes that are in the 2020 schedule.

  • The vegetable section includes a class for new exhibitors - 3 different vegetables, 1 of each.
  • The subject for this year's mounted photograph is "a photograph suitable for a Christmas card". The subjects for the Basinga Photography Prize classes are "Clouds over the Parish" and "All creatures great or small"
  • The theme for the childrens under 9s painting is "a big red bus", and 9 to 15 photo classes is "A Means of Transport".
  • The hotly contended Men and Boys Domestic class is "5 Maids of Honour tartlets".
  • After an abense of a few years, the floral arrangement section includes "An exhibit depicting Harvest Supper"
  • The drinks section includes a new class "A homemade non-alcoholic cocktail" - main ingredients to be named.
  • And in the interests of re-cycling, the handicraft section includes a class for "Something new from something old, upcycled or recycled"
