The Show will be held on Sunday 6th September 2026.

The 2026 Show Schedule.

Here's a sneak preview of some of the changes that you are likely to see in the 2026 Schedule compared with last year's schedule. The 2025 schedule can still be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page.

Vegetables  Two new classes, one for a basket of 5 fruit and/or vegetables (one of each) and one for a pair of beefsteak tomatoes. These replace the onion collection and carrot classes but of course carrots can still be entered in the "any other vegetable" class.

Flowers and pot plants  A new class for 3 single dahlias and the size restriction for "any other dahlia" has been removed. The hydrangea class will be changed from 3 heads to a single stem and similarly the flowering shrub class will be reduced from 3 stems to a single stem. The flowering pot plant class will be extended to allow orchids to be entered. The separate orchid class will be removed as will the "3 stems of any other rose" class.

Original writing  The first letter of each line in the acrostic poem should spell the name of a winter olympic sport. The other two classes are unchanged.

Handicraft  The "recycled material" class to be replaced by "An article made from clay or similar".

Photography  The subjects for the unmounted photos are "Local street scene" and "Aged". The subject for the photo mounted on a card is "On the farm"

Drinks  The two liqueur classes will be combined into a single "spirit or cream based liqueur" class and a new "mocktail" class added.

Children's classes  The painting or drawing class for 11 and under will be split into two classes for "7 and under" and "8 to 11". Two new classes to be added, "Paddington" and "Decorated flower pot (max 15cm diameter)". These changes will replace "meal on a plate", "cane topper" and "decorated cup cakes".

Other changes  Unfortunately, due to lack of, or no entries, we will probably have to drop the flower arranging section.
